We've been super busy the past few weeks and loving it. We've got some new material that we'll be playing at shows very soon! We've been talking to lots of people and thought I should take a few minutes to catch you up.

7/26/10 - We want your help! Plus, special offers inside.
Hello, The Future is Readers,
I'd like to take a minute to (sort-of) personally (via public posting on the Internet) thank each and every one of you (who reads this) for the wonderful response we've gotten since we hit the scene. It's been excellent to meet so many new faces, make some new friends, drink a free beer (though it was a bud light) on my birthday, and play music we love for people we love.
The great times are only getting greater and we are SO excited for the things we have in store(NOTE: not in "stores") for you. We're starting to write new material, and if you've been to a show lately, you'll notice we now also feature a new unrecorded song. The first person to know the words is getting a free t-shirt. I don't even know them.
To keep growing at the pace we've set, we're going to need your help! Reading this, you may (probability: ~80%) think, "How can I help The Future Is Me in their quest for greatness?" So I thought I'd go ahead and answer that question for you. The other 20% of you: still read on.
1. Financial support....no, we don't want to TAKE your money. We'll give you things in return...like....stickers, t-shirts, music, and so on. We need to get ourselves some more merchandise, along with a trailer, to move forward......we need help for that one!
2. Ask yourself this: "Do I have money?" Then ask: "Is it easier to spend MY money or somebody else's money?" Here's what we're getting at. If you and 2 friends each have a dollar, then you can all have our album! Share it, we don't care. Share it with everyone you know. Tell your friends to support us by picking up (and paying for) some merch. You can get it at a show or from our Myspace page.
3. Hand out some flyers for us next time you're at a show! We'll give you the flyers. We just can't be everywhere! Also, online flyering helps. Post a show flyer or a band pic on your profile, in your photos, wherever you like!
4. Internet promotion: takes just a second and it helps us a lot! Tag us (@) in your facebook status. Tell your friends to go listen to our music. Tell your enemies too. Tell strangers! Put a link to one of our sites on your page.
5. Suggest us to your friends! If you're on our fan page, click "Suggest to Friends" on the left side. Invite your whole friends list and we'll give you a shirt at COST. That's $5 for those of you not in the t-shirt biz.
6. Blog about us! If you're feeling extra enthusiastic, write a (interesting) note about us in your blog or hook us up with your bloggy friend.
7. Join our Street Team! We are ready to start it up, and need a leader of the (not wolf) pack and some team members to get our name around. Inquire for more info!
Alright, great. Now that we have that out of the way (phew), we have a few(4) more things that need YOUR (somewhat) personal attention.
- One song from our EP is going to go missing from our set list at the Lincoln Theatre. We've gotten lots of requests to play "Lines" because we haven't played it in a couple of shows. What song should we kick out?
- We're taking new photos soon...have any badass (think: the most interesting band in the world) ideas?
- New merch on the way. We're doing some cool stuff....coozies (for beer OR soda), bags, bottle openers and more are all possibilities. What do you want (that says The Future Is Me on it)?
- The moment you've all been waiting for. The offer! We're finally getting some hits on this page, so we're going to make it interesting for you all. When we hit certain checkpoints, we're going to give away some free shit. The checkpoints are:

For those of you who are Rob and Big fans out there, you'll be happy to hear that I was rocking a manpon yesterday at band practice. It does wonders.
We're looking into some new venues, schools, and radio stations as new avenues to grow our army, and any suggestions would help. We're going to be featured on New Music Inferno tonight. blogcast.com/newmusicinferno . 9:30 PM listen up!
In other news, we're recording a new track shortly. You've heard it live several times now hopefully. We're just finishing to stroke it gently so we can blow a musical load into your ears.
Please continue to help us to promote! We need more street teamers. Tell your friends about us! And add us on Facebook if you haven't. Way less likely to get raped on Facebook.....unless.....you want to.
